Depends on if one started on survival, or changed to survival later.
If you're playing survival on PC, I e'er recommend copying and pasting your salvage folder ever couple days or and then, to a different directory in social club to back it up.

Damn, got my hopes up for a second there. Didn't realise the saving was like that and was exploring a different path through a quest thinking I can reload my former save to do it the way I want after and now I can't :( Was my last chance to take the constitute out with the Minutemen without just going on a spree inside the Institute :(

No good. Saves from before survival are manner besides early. I need to reset the quest i'g on instead, need to know how to do that if you know? The quest is Pinned, the Institute one where you need to go the dude from the business firm the Minutemen are sieging

That being said, its hard to get past the betoken where yous can't finish the game that style. If you provide more details on what quest your on and where you are at with other quests y'all may get some ideas from people in how to become back to where you want to be without using that command.

I am by the indicate. I know I am. Pinned is the last oppurtunity to get confronting the Plant for the minutemen specifically without merely going on a killing spree inside the Found. I am a few hours into survival and those are hours I'thousand not willing to simply lose. Brought Strong to max amore clearing similar 10 areas no way am I doing all that again. I'll take my chances with the command.

If you were going to employ a command anyway, couldn't you lot just tweak Strong's affinity with that? In that location would be mode less chance of messing anything upwardly with an affinity boost.
Or, if you lot've got Nuka World and oasis't done Sierra's quest, y'all can repeatedly exploit her dialogue for free affinity increases.

No I don't want to tweak his analogousness like that plus the affinity isn't the only thing. What does Potent like? Killing and setting upwardly settlements for settlers. So I spent hours doing that. Which hateful if I reloaded a pre survival salvage I'd take to clear out at least 5-6 areas again regardless of whether I wanted his affinity because I did want the areas cleared anyways AND rebuild at least iii settlements that I can call up FROM SCRATCH considering I plain didn't only build them for Strongs benefit alone. Not gonna happen lol. I have Nuka Earth but I have never played it or far harbor and I don't plan on touching them until I finish the main questline.
I'm using the setstage control. it's all I tin can do. All I want to know now is what I need to practise? The quest is ongoing in one of my saves so do I just open up the console, type setstage and enter the quest ID? How exactly does setstage work?
But looking around online and I seen that there actually is a "resetquest" control wouldn't that be better than setstage? Looking to restart the unabridged quest basically later all. Before somebody else says it yes I know it could bug my game lol. It's a adventure I'm willing to accept at this point. I tin can always just support my saves now and if this bugs my game reload those before the signal where I used the command.
Who the heck decided to limit savegames to iii anyways. Fleck silly imo. All that will do is make information technology impossible to fix your game if information technology bugs out and you require an early save to load.
